R.L. Stine Signs Graphic Novel Deal With Boom! Studios

Award winning, best-selling horror author and creator of Goosebumps and Fear Street, R.L. Stine, has signed an agreement with BOOM! Studios.

The multi-book original graphic novel agreement will have Stine producing a new series of original supernatural horror graphic novels for the publisher. The works are set to be released by KaBOOM!, which is the studio’s platform that houses and publishes works for young readers. The agreement represents an expansion of the writer’s concepts and works which has championed horror in young adult novels and captured the imagination and hearts of generations including Bryce Carlson, VP of Editorial & Creative Strategy at BOOM! Studios, who stated:

“His work changed my life as a reader and I can’t wait for today’s young readers to share that experience as R.L. Stine takes the graphic novel format and sends everyone just beyond the limits of their imaginations…”

R.L. Stine released his debut novel back in 1981 about a character named Kerry who thought his blind date sounded crazy about him “when she talked to him over the phone–unfortunately he didn’t know how right he was”. Through the release of books such as Fear Street, Hit and Run as well as the Goosebumps series, Stine has become an iconic voice in horror with the Goosebumps books being adapted into a television series, as well as film in 2015 starring Jack Black as a fictional manifestation of the Stine himself.

With the graphic novels set to be released in fall 2019, let us know in the comments if you will be heading to stores to grab a copy.
