After the success both Black Panther and Infinity War had, Chadwick Boseman is teaming up once more with directors Anthony and Joe Russo, but this time it won’t be a Marvel or superhero film, rather an action-thriller kind.
17 Bridges, directed by Brian Kirk (Luther, Game of Thrones) and with a script written by Adam Mervis, is the story of a disgraced NYPD detective (Boseman) who, after being thrust into a citywide manhunt for a cop killer, is given a shot at redemption.
Both Russo Brothers and Boseman will act as producers of the film, alongside STXfilms, making 17 Bridges the next project in line that STX is set to make, alongside Mile 22 from director Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Peppermint starring Jennifer Garner, and an announced action franchise Muscle for Vin Diesel, as well as an untitled Jason Statham project co-produced with Tencent Pictures.
