John Krasinski’s Involvement in A Quiet Place Sequel Confirmed
Soon after A Quiet Place hit theaters earlier this year, talks of a sequel began circulating. Of course, audiences want to experience more from that world. And, of course, Paramount Picture is more than ready to deliver. With plans of a follow-up already confirmed, one question remains: Will John Krasinski take part in the production? The short answer, according to producer Andrew Form, is yes.
As the first film’s director, co-writer, and lead star, Krasinski wore plenty of hats. He’s the special sauce that makes this beautiful yet horrifying adventure of a film work on so many levels. Considering the fullness of his plate with regards to other projects, namely Amazon’s Jack Ryan television series, concerns were geared toward his potential inability to return for A Quiet Place 2. During an interview with Collider, Andrew Form quickly allays such worries.
“Oh [Krasinski is] definitely involved. We’re lucky on this one. I’ve had movies where the studio says to you, ‘Here’s your date. Let’s go!’ and on this one we’re not rushing anything, which is amazing. So we’re gonna take our time, we’re gonna figure out where to go, but there is no rush on it and we’re just starting to talk about it. We’re figuring out what everyone’s involvement’s gonna be and what the actual next movie’s gonna be. The first one is so special to us that we really want to take our time with this and not rush anything.”

For now, there’s no news on what Krasinski’s involvement entails. The number one goal is to ensure that things aren’t rushed. Paramount has no interest in pushing another sequel out the door to capitalize on A Quiet Place’s meteoric success. Form continues,
“It’s such a special movie to us, the experience and everything. It’s easy to rush these and we’ve made movies in the past where we’ve rushed them through and we’ve felt it, and we just don’t wanna do it on this one. We really don’t. We really just wanna take our time and as long as it takes, it takes. It has to be the right story, just like the first one. It just has to be.”
While the wait for additional sequel information carries on, the original film is purchasable on digital platforms now. A Quiet Place hits Blu-ray and DVD on July 10.
