Readers and fans of the Valiant Comics’ Faith can get excited as the superhero is being brought to the big screen.

Created by Jim Shooter and David Lapham, Faith Herbert was raised by her grandmother after losing both her parents in a car crash. After spending years immersing herself in fantasy, sci-fi and all other things pertaining to geek culture, she believes that she has found the secret to becoming a real superhero and is eventually approached by a member of the Harbinger Foundation who unlocks her powers of flight and telekinesis.

The film is being developed by Sony Pictures and will be produced by Neal H. Moritz and Dan Mintz, while the studio has hired Maria Melnik (Escape Room) to pen the script.
