Netflix Renews ‘Dear White People’ for Season 3
Netflix has officially renewed their hit series Dear White People for a third season. The streaming giant confirmed the news via a social media announcement featuring the show’s narrator Giancarlo Esposito.
During the second season finale, Esposito was revealed to be (Spoiler alert!) an important member of the Order of X, which is the fictional university’s secret society. The announcement makes sense, as the topic of information spreading online is a big theme in season 2. The series deals with issues like race, sexuality, and class in Winchester University, a fictional Ivy League.
The show is based on the 2014 movie of the same name, and it stars Logan Browning, DeRon Horton, Brandon P. Bell, Marque Richardson, Antoinette Robertson, Ashley Blaine Featherson and John Patrick Amedori. It will return for 10 more episodes next year. No release date has been announced yet.
