Cyberpunk 2077 to Have Wide Range of Customizable Romance Options: “Similar to The Witcher, But With More Diversity”

Cyperpunk 2077 is without a doubt one of the more talked about games out of E3 and with more information that gets released, the better the anticipation, current case in point: diverse romance options.

Created by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG where you play as a mercenary named “V” that is customizable from head-to-toe and your choices will directly impact how people perceive you in the game. Red puts alot of the universe’s power in the hands of the gamer and this includes romantic relationships, which is a very popular aspect in The Witcher series and it seems that the company has plans to do the same with their new game. When asked, quest designer Patrick Mills had this to say:

“Similar to the Witcher, but with more diversity. There are a lot more options. You know, you’re defining your own character here, which means defining their sexuality any way you want. With Geralt, you had a character whose sexuality was very well defined by the novels and the short stories and the previous games. But in this one, it’s up to you to decide. We’ve got NPCs that are gay, we’ve got NPCs that are bi, we’ve got NPCs that are straight, because we want them to feel real and that they have preferences as well…We’re aiming for big, complicated relationships that continue over the course of the game, but also casual encounters that don’t matter that much.”

Because the game is still being finalized, Red was unable to give an exact number of how many romance options we can expect but that there will surely be more than enough to keep players happy.
