Overkill Announces Release Date for ‘The Walking Dead’ Game
It looks like we finally have a release date for the first person shooter videogame based on The Walking Dead, created by Robert Kirkman. Overkill announced earlier this week that on November 6th, the game will be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in North and South America. It will be available to the rest of the world on November 8th.
In the video game, four players must band together for a variety of missions and raids to find survivors and supplies, and of course — to stay alive. They can use stealth tactics to avoid enemies or they can use brute force to destroy walkers in their path. All four playable characters have their own special abilities, play styles and unique backstories. Overkill has also released trailers for each playable character. Check them out below:
A PC-exclusive closed beta is also scheduled to launch this year and will only be available for pre-orders. People who pre-order the standard edition will get a single invite, while deluxe edition pre-orders will receive four to share with friends. There is also a steel book deluxe edition that will include “Night Raid Character Pack” DLC, cosmetic skins, a digital art book and four collectable cards illustrated by comic book artist Dan Panosian, in honor of its comic book heritage.
