Ambiin To Remake ‘Arachnophobia’ with James Wan Producing
Film and TV production company, Amblin and James Wan’s Atomic Monster, known for creating The Conjuring Universe, are set to remake the 1990 horror-comedy film Arachnophobia. The film is about a species of South American killer spider that crosses the U.S. border in a coffin breeding and creating a new species of killer spiders that ravage a town. Actors Jeff Daniels and John Goodman starred in the original 90’s flick that Steven Spielberg executive produced. In addition, original director Frank Marshall will return to executive produce the remake.
While Wan may not be directing this film it’s clear that he has interest in producing another horror film. In addition to this film, James Wan has recently completed filming Aquaman for DC and Warner Bros. Entertainment and the newest installment of The Conjuring universe, The Nun, is set to hit theaters on September 7, 2018.
