‘Kingdom Hearts III’ Gets January 2019 Release Date
For all of you loyal Kingdom Hearts fans out there who have been patiently waiting for the release of the next installment, the wait is steadily drawing to a close. Square Enix, the game’s developer finally announced that they would be releasing Kingdom Hearts III at the end of January next year.
Created by Shinji Hashimoto and Yoko Shimomura, the Kingdom Hearts series takes place in a fictional universe and centers around the adventures of a character named Sora as he fights with and against various Disney, Final Fantasy, and Pixar characters. The first game was released in 2002 and it has since spawned numerous related merchandise including soundtracks, mangas, companion books, and figurines.
Square Enix did previously say that Kingdom Hearts III would be out this year, however, they never did give a firm date like they have now. This news also comes just days before Enix’s press conference at E3, which they will no doubt be going more into depth about what fans can expect from the upcoming game.
One of the trailers for the game can be seen here.
