Rumor: Paul Rudd in Talks to Co-Star in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ Movie
In wild casting news, Paul Rudd may be running alongside everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. According to That Hashtag Show, Paul Rudd is in talks to co-star as Tom, “a cop who befriends Sonic and teams up with him to defeat the evil Robotnik.”
The film is beginning its production stage this summer in Vancouver. This isn’t the first bit of strange news following Sonic: The Hedgehog: The Movie. Tim Miller, director of the first Deadpool film, is serving as the film’s executive producers.
It hasn’t been announced yet who will be playing Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the rest of the main crew, but since the film will incorporate both animation and live action, the voice actors are still viable options for casting.
Sonic the Hedgehog will be directed by Jeff Fowler, and is expected to release in 2019. Who do you want to see appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog film? Let us know in the comments!
