Days Gone’s Release Date Announcement is Coming “Very Soon”
Earlier this year developer Sony Bend confirmed that their third-person action title, Days Gone, wouldn’t hit PlayStation 4 until 2019. Game Informer’s month of coverage for the PS4 exclusive left many waiting for an official release date. As May slowly draws to a close, such an announcement seems less likely. However, news concerning the street date for Days Gone is indeed on the horizon.
During a talk with ScreenRant, Sony Bend’s studio director, Christopher Reese revealed the following: “We’ll have more info on [a release date] very soon.” His vague response leaves plenty to the imagination. Yet, with E3 just weeks away, Reese’s words may have intimated more than they seem.

We know PlayStation’s E3 conference will feature showings from The Last of Us: Part II, Death Stranding, Spider-Man, and Days Gone. Thus, it’s the perfect stage from which the publisher can announce new dates. Perhaps the reveal of Days Gone’s 2019 launch date is plastered on a black screen at the end of a new trailer. We’ll know for sure when Sony ‘s presentation kicks off on Monday, June 11.
Sony Bend hasn’t launched a game since the PS Vita’s Uncharted: Golden Abyss in 2011. Are you looking forward to the studio’s return with an open-world, zombie shooter? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
