Liam Neeson Is In Talks to Join ‘Men In Black’ Spinoff
The Men In Black spinoff is taking shape, with now Liam Neeson in negotiations to join Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as the stars of the film.
Set to be directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious) and with a script penned by Matt Holloway (Iron Man) and Art Marcum (Iron Man), the Men In Black spinoff will be set in the same world as the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones trilogy, but won’t act as sequel or reboot.
Nothing much is known about the film –Thompson and Hemsworth’s character details are still kept under wraps– but according to Variety, who first reported the news, Neeson will be playing the head of the U.K. branch of the agency. In the “original films” Rip Torn portrayed the head of the American division.
