‘Lost in Space’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix
Netflix has renewed Lost in Space for a second season.
Lost in Space is the revival and re-envisioning of the classic 1960’s science fiction series with the same title, created by Irwin Allen. Set 30 years in the future, the series chronicles the Robinson family whom after crash-landing on an alien planet, are surrounded by hidden dangers. Survival is key and new alliances are forged in a dangerous environment with refuge in the form of Alpha Centauri (paradise-like planet) lightyears away.
The show is produced by legendary television and written by executive producers Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless who are the minds behind Dracula Untold and Gods of Egypt. Having drawn 6.3 million U.S viewers three days following the premiere in April, details of season 2 are yet to be announced. The series stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall and Taylor Russell. As well as Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey, who stars as Don West and Dr. Smith/June Harris respectively.
