Ubisoft to Announce a New AAA Title at E3
In a quarterly earnings call, Ubisoft announced to shareholders that it intends to announce a new AAA game at this year’s E3. Their press conference is scheduled for June 11.
Of course, Ubisoft already has two AAA games expected to be extensively previewed on the docket – The Crew 2 and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. This new AAA game will be in addition to these two, and Ubisoft seems pretty confident that between these three games, they’ll be able to sell over 19 million units, not including DLC or microtransactions.
This new, unnamed game is expected to come out before the end of the fiscal year, which will be on March 31, 2019. For now, this is all the information that Ubisoft is willing to release; they’re keeping quiet on whether this new game will be new IP, or a continuation of their already-booming franchises.
This news comes immediately after Ubisoft announced their decision to delay Skull and Bones, their new pirate IP which would have surely competed with Sea of Thieves.
