Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are highly known for writing hit movies like Deadpool 1 and 2, Clue, Six Underground and much more. However, the two men got their start with Zombieland, a horror-comedy film that was released in 2009.
According to Reese and Wernick, fans no longer have to wait for a sequel, because it’s finally happening.
The original cast, which includes main Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin, are set to return for the movie with its 10-year anniversary approaching.
With an interview with Vulture, Wernick says “We’re going on the tenth anniversary of Zombieland.”
“Zombieland came out October of 2009. We don’t know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2.”
The future seems bright for fans, according to Wernick, who says the two are “sitting on information that we can’t entirely share at this moment.”
