Earlier today it was announced that James Ransone joined the cast of It: Chapter Two to play adult Eddie, and now Andy Bean has been announced to play adult Stanley.
The sequel will have the adult Losers’ club fighting Pennywise after he returns 27 years after the events of the first film. Stanley Uris’ storyline as an adult is far more complicated than the rest of the group. If the sequel is to follow the novel by Stephen King, It: Chapter Two will have Stanley fighting his inner demons as well as Pennywise.
The first film altered some elements of the characters, specifically Mike Hanlon and Ben Hanscom. Mike’s role as the Derry historian of the Losers’ Club was given to Ben. Stanley could very well have a very different fate in the sequel.
Bean was most recently on HBO’s Here and Now and Starz’s Power.
Production on IT: Chapter Two will begin this summer in Toronto.
