Netflix Orders Guillermo del Toro Horror Anthology Series ‘10 After Midnight’
Earlier today Deadline announced that Netflix had given green light to Guillermo del Toro’s newest project, Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, the first original horror anthology series for the streaming service.
Although there isn’t much to say about the series, the show has been described in Deadline’s report as “a collection of the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s personally curated stories, described as both equally sophisticated and horrific,” which seems about right, as that’s the style that characterizes the talented director.
Del Toro, who created the series, will write and direct certain episodes, with the rest of them being handled by a hand-pick team of top horror writers and new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life.
As producers, Del Toro is reteaming with J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water), and joining the team is Gary Ungar as part of Exile Entertainment.
