Deadline reports that Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Live Free or Die Hard, Scream 2) is in negotiations to co-star in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Written and directed by Tarantino, the film “covers a group of characters in LA during the summer of 1969, up to the moment where Charles Manson’s followers murdered Sharon Tate and others in a shocking night of savagery”.
Set to star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen, Tarantino describes the film as “probably the closest to Pulp Fiction that I’ve ever done”. Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are set to play TV cowboy actor and his long-serving stunt double respectively. An acting collaboration Tarantino has likened to that of Robert Redford and Paul Newman.
Olyphant’s role is yet to be announced.
Olyphant currently stars in Netflix’s The Santa Clarita Diet, along side actress Drew Barrymore, which is expected to launch its third season in 2019.
