Bad Boys Offshoot Pilot ‘L.A.’s Finest’ Will Not Move Forward At NBC
Deadline reported today that L.A.’s Finest, an offshoot pilot based on 2003’s Bad Boy’s II, will no longer move forward at NBC.
The show was to be lead by Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, who also served as executive producers for the pilot.
LA’s Finest was one of the most expensive pilots this season, with its budget rumored to be as high as $15 million – $16 million. It follows the Special Agent Syd Burnett character played by Union in 2003’s Bad Boys II movie as she moves to Los Angeles and joins the LAPD.
She’s partnered with Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom who can’t help but look at Syd’s freedom with some grass-is-greener envy. These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they both are at the top of their fields in this action-packed, character-driven procedural
There is no official word of which network will pick up the show.
