Eiza Gonzalez Joins Feature-Length ‘Kung Fury’ Film

Baby Driver breakout star, Eiza Gonzalez, has been added to Kung Fury.

The film, which is set to be a follow-up to David Sandberg’s 2015 short, will see Gonzalez starring alongside David Hasselhoff, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Fassbender.

Set in 1985 Miami, the Kung Fury short film paid homage to ’80s martial arts and police films, was shown at the Cannes Director’s Fortnight and gained 40 million views worldwide.

Miami is kept safe by Kung Fury and his group of Thundercops, a police force assembled from across history defeat the antagonist, Kung Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. When one of the Thundercops meets his untimely demise, Kung Fury must travel through time to defend the Miami Kung Fu Academy and put a stop to a mysterious new evil.

Short director, Sandberg, will once again be behind the camera for the feature-length film with David Katzenberg, Seth Grahame-Smith and Aaron Schmidt producing for KatzSmith Productions. Pelle Strandberg will be executive producing for Laser Unicorns.
