Killing Eve has been out for roughly a month and it’s already clear that the show’s becoming quite the hit.

The series is living up to its high expectations, receiving ever climbing ratings and being well received critically, something that BBC America clearly anticipated when they went ahead and greenlighted the series for a second season before the pilot had even premiered.

The premiere on April 8th drew in around 423,000 viewers and the 4th episode (also the most recent) was aired on April 29th and brought in around  503,000 watchers. Sunday night’s episode brought the total amount of viewers to around 892,000, with around 386,000  of those hitting the demographic of adults ages 25-54.

Based on the novellas by Luke Jennings and starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, Killing Eve follows two women- an MI5 security officer (Oh) and an inconstant killer (Comer)-in a life-or-death game of cat and mouse. The series is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd and distributed by Endeavor Content and Sandra Oh also serves as an associate producer.
