Issa Rae Joins Universal Pictures’ Comedy Movie ‘Little’ Alongside Marsai Martin
Issa Rae, best known for creating and starring in HBO’s Insecure, has joined Black-ish star Marsai Martin in Universal Pictures’ comedy Little, Deadline reports. Martin came up with the idea of the film.
Camilla Blackett, writer for ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, wrote the recent version of the movie’s script, which follows a woman who gets another opportunity to relive the ‘carefree’ life of her younger self when the pressures of adulthood weighs heavily.
Erik Baiers and Mika Pryce will oversee the project for Universal, while Tina Gordon is set to direct the pic. Will Packer will also produce.
