The Plus version brings back two classic Sonic characters, Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo, who haven’t been seen since Sega’s arcade days.
Sonic Mania Plus will also feature new zones, maps, and modes to play on. Up to four players will be able to play together cooperatively.
If you’re picking up the physical version, the game will also be available with holographic packaging, a SEGA Genesis version of the cover, and a 32-page art book. Of course, if you already have Sonic Mania and don’t want to spring for a new copy, the additional content will also be available as paid DLC.
Be sure to grab Sonic Mania Plus for your console on July 17!
