Alden Ehrenreich Will Return for Two More Movies After ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Rumors have been going around for a while, but Han Solo himself has officially confirmed that he’ll be returning for two more Star Wars films after Solo: A Star Wars Story.

He revealed some details to Alex Pappademas during an interview for Esquire Magazine’s latest cover story:

He knows what he’s getting into. It’s a deeper commitment than just one movie. Even Ford couldn’t quit after just one. I ask Ehrenreich how many he’s signed up for. “Three,” he says, then flinches, understanding he may have just created a disturbance in the Force. “I don’t know if that’s officially, uh, public. But—yeah.”

Star Wars fans should take his comment lightly though, as Rogue One (2016) star Felicity Jones reportedly had a multiple-picture deal as well. It is also not clear if he is starring in sequels to Solo or just making appearances in future Star Wars films. Solo is being directed by Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, who stepped in after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were let go, reportedly due to creative differences. The movie is being produced by Kathleen Kennedy and written by Lawrence Kasdan.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25, 2018.
