Funimation to Begin ‘Steins;Gate 0’ SimulDub on April 30th

The spring anime season has taken off to a fantastic start, with a handful of outstanding shows including My Hero Academia, Megalo Box, Hinamatsuri, and several more. Out of the new shows, we saw the return of the eccentric mad Houoin Kyo- I mean, Okabe Rintarou in a heavy-hearted follow-up to Steins;Gate.

 

With the shows return under a new name Steins;Gate 0, Funimation has announced the launch of their SimulDub is set to begin on April 30th. For those unfamiliar with SimulDubs, this means that starting on that date a new episode will be released in English audio every week, two weeks after they air in Japan. Still overcoming the loss of Kurisu, in Steins;Gate 0 Okabe is whisked back into his heartwrenching memories when a former colleague of Kurisu randomly appears in his life. The unexpected arriver brings with her a new form of technology, based on Kurisu’s research, that can store the memories of humans to recreate personalities. Causing Okabe to struggle with the meaning of humanity and the place of artificial intelligence.

Steins;Gate 0 is available now on Crunchyroll and will be added to the Funimation SimulDub catalog beginning on April 30th!
