While the film franchise continuously struggles with returning to the screen, NBC’s Bad Boys spinoff television series has yet to see a decline in momentum. The show starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, both of whom will serve as executive producers, now has a title–L.A.’s Finest. Additionally, a synopsis for the series has surfaced (via Deadline). The description can be read below:
In L.A.’s Finest, written by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier and directed by Anton Cropper, the free-spirited former DEA agent [Sydney] Burnett (Gabrielle Union) has a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD detective. She’s partnered with Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom who can’t help but look at Syd’s freedom with some grass-is-greener envy. These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they both are at the top of their fields in this action-packed, character-driven procedural.
Late last month, Union shared the following clip of her and Alba, presumably while the two were on set:
Starring alongside Union and Alba are actors Zach Gilford, Ryan McPartlin, Duane Martin, Zach McGowan, and Ernie Hudson. L.A.’s Finest is presently without a premiere date and air time.
