‘Deadpool 2’ Director Confirmed to Helm ‘Fast & Furious’ Spin-Off
In the most recent installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, The Fate Of The Furious, Dwayne Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs came face to face with Jason Statham’s character Deckard Shaw. The action-packed meeting was definitley one of the most memorable parts of the billion dollar film. It was so memorable that whispers of a spin-off featuring both characters came to the forefront of conversation and was eventually confirmed to be in active development.
Now, EW is reporting that the film has found its director and it is none other than new director David Leitch.
Leitch has an extensive background as a Stunt Coordinator on many Hollywood blockbusters but came on the scene directing critically acclaimed films like John Wick and Atomic Blonde. He most recently took the director’s chair for Deadpool 2 after Tim Miller left the role due to creative differences.
The spin-off has been officially dubbed Hobbs And Shaw even though the official title has not yet been confirmed. Deadpool 2 will no doubt be one of the biggest movies of the summer and all of the elements in that film will definitely show us what we can expect to see in Hobbs And Shaw.
