‘Scream Queens’ Star Diego Boneta Joins Terminator Reboot
Mexican-born actor Diego Boneta (Scream Queens, Rock of Ages) has landed a role in the upcoming Terminator reboot, and is currently in negotiations to join the production. He will join Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049), as well as Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who are reprising their iconic roles yet again. Davis is reportedly playing a soldier/assassin from the future. Details about Boneta’s role have not been revealed, but sources say his character is a human.
Deadpool‘s Tim Miller is directing, and James Cameron is returning to the franchise as producer for the first time since Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). Boneta made his feature film debut in Tom Cruise’s Rock of Ages, and currently stars opposite Avatar‘s Sam Worthington in the sci-fi thriller The Titan. He will also be playing iconic Puerto Rican singer Luis Miguel in an upcoming Netflix Spanish-language biopic about the star, set to premiere later this month.
The Terminator reboot will hit theaters Nov. 22, 2019.
