Opening Weekend Box Office Tracking For ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Estimated At $200 Million-Plus Domestically

We are now 20 days away from one of the MCU’S most highly-anticipated films, Avengers: Infinity War. Boasting superheroes from across the galaxy, Infinity War is looking to be one of Marvel Studios’ most ambitious films yet.

The general consensus has always been that the Russo Brothers’ directed Infinity War was going to be huge, with many people’s favourite heroes in one film. However, the box office tracking results are now in and it’s estimated that the movie will rake in a huge $200 million-plus in its opening weekend.

This figure is solely based on domestic box office earnings and it is possible for this number to change within the next three weeks leading up to the film’s release. But if the film succeeds in making that much money, it will join a group of seven films that have made $175 million-plus in their openers, domestically.

Non-MCU films rounding out the seven films are: Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million), Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($220 million) and Jurassic World ($208.8 million).
