‘Black Panther’ Becomes 4th Highest Domestic Grossing Film & 10th Highest Global Grossing Film of All Time

Black Panther has only been out for two months and in that time it’s gained the traction that it took other films years to build and it’s not only breaking monetary records but also cultural ones as it has just been announced that it will be the first film to be shown in Saudi Arabia since the 80s, ending a 35-year cinema ban.

As of this exact moment (Because by the end of the weekend the number will probably be even higher) Black Panther has earned $1.279 billion at the worldwide box office, with $652.5 million of that coming out of North America. It just beat out Jurrasic World domestically and is currently the fourth highest earning movie of all time in the states, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, and Avatar.

Black Panther has also just entered the list of top 10 biggest films at the global box office of ALL TIME, pushing aside Disney’s 2013 film Frozen to sit at number ten just below fellow Disney film Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Avatar and Titanic-both by James Cameron-currently sit at the first and second spots respectively.

Are you still amazed at how well the film is doing? Or have you expected this all along? Tell us how you feel in the comments below!
