Spider-Man Hits PS4 on September 7, Collector’s Edition Announced
As Game Informer’s digital edition went live, a bevy of Spider-Man details hit the internet as the webslinger’s forthcoming PS4 title is the publication’s cover story for May. First and foremost, the game, simply titled Spider-Man, launches on Friday, September 7. Along with this news came the first look at the box art, pictured below:

In addition, PlayStation has announced a collector’s edition, which includes a steel book copy of Insomniac’s latest, a white spider sticker, a mini artbook, a statue whose official design is coming this summer, three post-launch story missions, and additional characters and suits. This edition also consists of pre-order bonus content, such as special skins, gadgets, a PS4 avatar and theme, and 5 skill points. This version of the game will run consumers $149.99 USD.

Developer Insomniac’s official Twitter page posted a video, a 30-second clip featuring new gameplay footage, some of which shows Spider-Man in action, donning an alternate costume. Check it out below:
