Actress Olivia Munn has just joined the cast of Justine Bateman’s directorial debut film Violet as the titular character.
Reportedly, “Violet” will tell the story of an up-and-coming film executive who lives her life according to the voice in her head until one day it unravels and she realizes the truth: it has been lying to her about everything. Anthony LaPaglia is also currently set to star in the film as her boss, who ridicules her in a way similar to the Voice, who is set to be played by Justin Theroux.
Violet will be produced, directed, and written by Bateman herself. Bateman will produce the film under her Section 5 banner, alongside Mark G. Mathis (“Precious”). Cassian Elwes will serve as executive producer and filming is set to begin in Los Angeles.
