Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades trilogy, How to Be Single) and Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Easy) have had an amazing year in film with Johnson concluding the Fifty Shades franchise and Beetz with a role in the upcoming film Deadpool 2. Both continue to soar and are currently in negotiations to join a thriller starring Armie Hammer brought to you by Annapurna Pictures (Zero Dark Thirty, American Hustle, and Detroit). The thriller (currently untitled) follows a bartender in New Orleans (played by Hammer) whose life begins to unravel after a series of disturbing and inexplicable events transpire when he picks up a phone left behind at his bar.

The film is to be written and directed by Babak Anvari – whose last thriller was critically acclaimed. We saw him take home a BAFTA for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, and Producer (Under the Shadow), as well as and numerous British Independent Film Awards. Lucan Toh, Christopher Kopp, and Annapurna Pictures are set to be the film’s producers. With all this talent, the project looks promising. The studio has already announced a release date of March 29,2019.
