Tati Gabrielle to Play Prudence in Netflix’s ‘Sabrina’ Reboot
Looks like Greendale just got another new occupant as reports come in that actress Tati Gabrielle will be joining the cast of Netflix’s upcoming Sabrina reboot as the character Prudence.
Though currently still untitled, the project is apparently going to be based specifically off of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and will be a retelling of Sabrina’s origin and will be dark-themed and horror oriented. The show was originally aimed at airing on The CW (where fellow Archie Comics based series Riverdale currently airs) before being moved to Netflix and they have already ordered two seasons. There is currently no expected crossovers for the two shows. Prudence is a teenage student at the Academy of Unseen Arts as well as the leader of a triad of witches called the Weird Sisters. Though not clear at first, Prudence holds a personal grudge against Sabrina that could end up in painful consequences, including death.
Gabrielle’s other credits include The CW’s The 100, Hulu’s Freakish and Tarantula on TBS.
Already announced castmates include Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle and Kiernan Shipka as titular character Sabrina Spellman.
Filming for seasons one and two will be back-to-back and will start on March 19th. A release date for the series has yet to be announced.
