‘Flashpoint’ Reportedly Might Film in Vancouver And Could Start in Late 2018, Early 2019
Flashpoint has found its directors in John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who are mostly known for their work in Vacation and Spider-Man: Homecoming, and according to various reports it’s going to be filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
According to Omega Underground, Warner Bros. and DC may be planning to film Flashpoint in Vancouver, but there’s no official word or confirmation about this, as Warner nor DC have been available for comment.
The last film Warner shot in Vancouver related to the DCEU was the film that started it all, Man of Steel, back in 2013, and before that was Watchmen in 2009, with Toronto being their most visited location to film –Suicide Squad filmed there and Shazam! is currently in production over there-.
While there hasn’t been much word on next films of the DCEU, so far we’ve only got information from upcoming films like Shazam!, Wonder Woman 2 and Suicide Squad 2, it’s apparent that they are still with their minds set on making a Flashpoint adaptation as Flash’s solo film and the fact that a location has been hinted, could mean that the movie is back on track as according to Screen Rant, there are plans for a production start date of late 2018 or early 2019 so they can stay on track for a 2020 release date. It’s important to clarify, however, that there is no official word regarding any of this, so at this point is mere “they heard, they say”.
What do you think about this news? Would you like Flashpoint to premiere on 2020?
