There’s been very little slip ups when it comes to Captain Marvel news, but Kevin Feige has just blessed us with some dope news about the upcoming movie. We know so far that the movie will be taking place in the 90’s which is going to be a new thing for Marvel to take on in their films. Feige sat with EW and gave some insight on why the movie takes place in the 90’s, check it out below:

“We wanted to explore a period before Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury had any idea about any of the other heroes and crazy stuff going on in the world. You know, we first met Nick when he told Tony, ‘You’re part of a big universe. You just don’t know yet.’ Well, we want to go back to a time when he didn’t know it yet, and really showcase and announce that Carol Danvers was that first hero that Nick came across.”

I’m interested to see how this all comes together, especially since this will be one of the first MCU movies we get after Infinity War. Sound off in the comments and let us know if you’re excited for Captain Marvel.
