Ubisoft Announces New Modes and Level Editor for ‘Far Cry 5’
Ubisoft has announced a mode for Far Cry 5, called Far Cry Arcade, a map editor that will allow players to create massive and intricate solo, co-op, and PvP custom levels. PvP levels will allow for up to 12 players in a map. The editor also introduces some new modes: Bounty Hunt, in which players need to track down and neutralize a given target, and Journey, in which players will need to work their way to a map’s exit while avoiding obstacles.
Far Cry Arcade will include over 7,000 objects from across the Far Cry series, and will also include items from Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. After launch, the game will receive at least 6 updates that will have continuous items uploaded to the game. The development team also promises to add items and assets as DLC comes out for Far Cry 5.

The mode will also reward players with coins and points, which can be used within the campaign to purchase clothing and weapons, or can be reinvested into more items in the editor.
Each week, developers will feature new maps and oversee mapjams, contests, tutorial livestreams, and other activities to encourage community building and sharing.
Far Cry 5 comes out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 27. Be sure to tag us and show your favorite maps when it comes out!
