‘Luke Cage’ Set to Premiere Season Two June 22, Releases First Teaser Trailer
As fans gear up for season two of Jessica Jones to hit Netflix March 8, the streaming service has released the first look at the new season of another one of its Marvel heroes.
Season two of Luke Cage will make its debut Friday, June 22.
Mike Colter returns as the title hero alongside Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
When we left off with Luke Cage, he had defeated Diamondback in an extremely public street fight, before being arrested and taken back to prison. Mariah and Shades had gone underground, possibly waiting to take over crime in Harlem now that everyone else was dead.
Later on The Defenders, we saw Luke freed from prison by Foggy Nelson, get reunited with Claire and team up with Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones and Danny Rand to fight The Hand.
Misty lost her arm saving Claire and Colleen, but it was implied that Rand would be providing a new prosthetic for her (as seen in the above photo).
Marvel’s Jessica Jones premieres all 13 episodes of season two on Netflix Thursday, March 8. Then season two of Marvel’s Luke Cage begins streaming Friday, June 22.
