‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Director Simon Kinberg To Write New Star Wars Film
X-Men writer and director, Simon Kinberg, is set to have an even bigger project on his hands over at Lucasfilm. After getting praise for his directing debut on X-Men: Dark Phoenix from Jean Grey herself, Kinberg is set to write a new Star Wars film as reported by Deadline.
Kinberg was originally set to write an anthology Star Wars movie along with Josh Trank as director, but that was before the Fantastic Four reboot crashed and burned. Although Trank left a sour taste in Lucasfilm’s work, they are apparently still very eager to work with writer/director Simon Kinberg. Kinberg is best know for his writing on X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and X-Men: Apocalypse. Kinberg behind a Star Wars movie is very interesting, to say the least.
No word on what movie Kinber will bewriting but stay tuned here for more news on the matter. X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits theaters November 2, 2018!
