In January, it was announced that Gabrielle Union will star in NBC’s untitled Bad Boys spin-off series with the show following Union’s character Syd Burnett from Bad Boys II.

Now, joining the show will be Jessica Alba and she is set to co-lead the series alongside Union.

Alba will play Nancy McKenna who is a working mom and works alongside Burnett at the LAPD.  Though the two characters have different lifestyles and approaches, both excel in their field.  McKenna joined the Army right out of high school, spending the early 2000s in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Since women weren’t allowed in combat, she then joined the military police in order to get involved in some action.

The spinoff series was written by Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis who will executive produce the series with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Jeff Gaspin, Jeff Morrone, Doug Belgrad and Union.
