Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan’ Pushed Back to 2020

On March 1st, Disney announced some major changes in their upcoming movie releases. and while the release date for Avengers: Infinity War being moved up a week kept everyone busy, it seems like some of the other changes have gone unnoticed. One of these changes is the live-action Mulan, which is now hitting theaters in March of 2020 instead of the original November 2018 release date.

Not a lot of details have been released at this time, other than the fact that Niki Caro (The Zookeeper’s Wife) is directing, and that Chinese actress Liu Yifei (also known as Crystal Liu) is staring as Mulan. Three other live action Disney films will be hitting theaters in 2019 though, with Tim Burton’s Dumbo releasing on March 29, Jon Favreau’s The Lion King on July 19, and Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin on May 24.

In addition to these changes, Disney has also announced three upcoming Pixar movies, all set to release between 2020 and 2022, as well as six new untitled Marvel films for the cinematic universe’s mysterious Phase 4.
