Chris Hemsworth Is In Talks To Star in ‘Men in Black’ Spin-Off
It’s spin-off time in Hollywood and now Men in Black is next in line to get this kind of treatment as according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is in early talks with Chris Hemsworth (Thor Ragnarok) to make him the male lead of the film.
Set to be directed by F. Gary Gray, (Fate of the Furious) and with a script from Matt Holloway and Art Marcum (Iron Man), the film will take place in the same universe the original films were, with new characters as the leads which according to sources from THR, could be a female of colour and an older man alongside Hemsworth, taking on a global adventure.
Ever since its premiere back in 1997, the MIB franchise has made more than $1.5 billion worldwide, with three movies starring Smith and Jones, one in 1997 the sequel in 2002 and the third film a decade later in 2012.
Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are back as producers, while Steven Spielberg will be returning as executive producer as well.
