Mark Hamill Will Receive Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame On March 8
After more than 40 years in the entertainment industry, Mark Hamill will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this March 8 at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre at 11:30 a.m.
Hamill’s career began with appearances on TV series and Television movies like General Hospital and MTM’s The Texas Wheelers before landing the iconic lead role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars.
Over the years, Hamill has been also known for providing his voice to characters like The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series –role which he has reprised multiple times since the 90’s most recently in the Arkham Asylum video games and the animated film Batman: The Killing Joke-, Skips in Regular Show, Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Dictatious in Trollhunters, to name a few.
His response to this news was as both humble and true to himself -as much as we know him through social media-:
Can't say this is a dream come true because I was never foolish enough to think something like this could ever happen. When part of me doubts I deserve such an honor, I remind myself that someone got a "Star" for just one crappy reality show. #BeyondGr8ful 🙏 https://t.co/CEzO0jdD3k

Both George Lucas and Harrison Ford will help present the ceremony alongside Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
