‘Rocket League’ Announces New Hot Wheels Toy Set

Rocket League developer Psyonix and Hot Wheels have just announced another new project together: a physical Rocket League toy stadium with remote controlled Hot Wheels cars. The set, which will go for $180 this holiday season, will come with a plastic stadium, two cars modeled after the Octane and Dominus racers, a ball equipped with an IR sensor to automatically log goals, LCD scoreboards, and a charging base.

The set will also come with special DLC codes for Rocket League to enhance the game version as well. The cars themselves will be driveable via Bluetooth through a smartphone app.

This isn’t the first time Hot Wheels and Rocket League have teamed up; Hot Wheels made their debut last year in Rocket League DLC, which means that this partnership will probably continue to provide some interesting, creative ways to play.

Are you picking up the set this holiday season? Let us know in the comments!
