“Karate Kid” Returns with “Cobra Kai” Trailer
The first trailer for the Youtube Red Series Cobra Kai, the sequel to the iconic 1984 film Karate Kid has been released.
It has been almost 34 years since the battle between Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso has faced off against William Zabka’s classic 80’s villian Johnny Lawrence. The two will face off again in this series.
The story tells the return of the Cobra Kai dojo and Johnny’s adult life. The return of the dojo reignites the rivalry between Daniel and Johnny. Cobra Kai will see Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, one of Johnny’s pupils who has been facing bullies and Tanner Buchanan who will play as Johnny’s son, Robby Keene, who is trying to stray away from his father bad boy image.
Susan Ekins, Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett will all be producing the series alongside writer Josh Heald and directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
