Geoff Johns Announces The Doom Patrol Addition to ‘Titans’

“The are getting some company…”

Geoff Johns delivered quite the tease and quite the announcement on his Twitter.  Revealing an image of the script titled “Doom Patrol,” we learn that The Doom Patrol will be joining the live-action Teen Titans series for its fifth episode.

The Doom Patrol is relatively unknown within the DC world but has been around for decades.  But now, they’re getting some more love and air time with Titans.  In fact, Beast Boy (who will be portrayed by Ryan Potter) considers himself to be a member of the Doom Patrol.

Titans, the live action series, will be released on DC’s own still-unspecified digital streaming platform.  It will follow Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) as he leads a group of young heroes include Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft), and Beastboy (Ryan Potter) while also featuring Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly).  The show is executive produced by Johns, Akiva Goldsman, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.

Titans is set for release this year.
