Dontnod’s Horror Game ‘Vampyr’ Finally Set to See the Sun on June 5

Lurk in the shadows of London during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, when DONTNOD’s bloodthirsty action role-playing game, Vampyr is released June 5.

Originally slated for release in November of 2017, due to a technical issue in development the game was delayed with a vague window of Q1/Q2 2018. Today DONTNOD, the studio that brought us ‘Life is Strange’ and ‘Remember Me’, finally felt comfortable staking down an exact date.

For those unfamiliar with Vampyr, the story follows Jonathan E. Reid, a doctor who is now struggling with a thirst for the blood of innocents following his conversion into a vampire. The gameplay makes it entirely possible to proceed through the game, staying true to Reid’s oath of “do no harm.” However, doing this will make the game increasingly difficult as it greatly hinders his ability to level up. Those who remain loyal to the oath will be rewarded with one of the storylines four branching endings.

When Vampyr drops on June 5 it will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
