Rockstar Games, the well-known creators of Grand Theft Auto, has finally set a release date for their sequel to Red Dead Redemption.

Announced in an article on Rockstar Games’ website, Red Dead Redemption 2 will officially release on October 26, 2018. Acknowledging their previous estimated release for Spring 2018, the company apologized to their fans for this delay, but claimed they required “a little extra time for polish.”

2017 saw the release of two trailers for the game. With this current announcement, there’s no doubt we’ll have another approaching right around the corner.

Cushioned by Rockstar’s soothing promise that “you will agree the wait will have been worth it,” I’m sure fans are just relieved to finally have a concrete release date. They’ve also taken the liberty of sharing brand new screenshots from the upcoming release, and I’ve got to say, they are stunning.

According to Rockstar Games, we should be looking out for more information to be shared with us in the next coming weeks.

If you’re looking to play the original before the sequel’s release, Red Dead Redemption is currently available on PS3 and Xbox 360.
