Michelle MacLaren, famed for her award winning shows such as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones is slated to direct Universal’s upcoming comic book adaptation Cowboy Ninja Viking featuring Chris Pratt.

The film has been in the development stage since the summer of 2014.

Cowboy Ninja Viking tells the story of a counterintelligence agency that uses assassins that take the skills of three different personas and one agent who hunts down rogue assassins with similar triplet personas.

MacLaren is one of the most in-demand directors for TV shows, also having worked due to her extreme success on television shows. She is known for taking Television episodes and giving them a more cinematic feel.

Cowboy Ninja Viking will be MacLaren’s first feature film if all goes according to plan.

The film is set to release on June 28, 2019.
