Emily Blunt has been cast in Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise film based on the popular Walt Disney World ride. Dwayne Johnson was confirmed as the star in 2015, but it wasn’t until July of 2017 that Jaume Collet-Serra announced he was directing. Logan‘s Michael Green—who was recently nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Adapted Screenplay category—will be re-writing the screenplay that was originally penned by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay.

After the success of the billion dollar Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (which is also based on a theme park attraction), it’s no surprise Disney is looking for a new big project. The film would be based on the classic attraction, where guests can tour rivers from all over the world in Disney parks across the globe.  Variety reports that Disney is supposedly very pleased with Blunt’s performance in the upcoming Mary Poppins remake, and wanted to bring her into another potential franchise.

Dwayne Johnson is also in high demand at the moment, as he is fresh off the success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle—which has made $800 million world wide box office. Blunt seems to be pretty busy as well—she is starring in Paramount’s A Quiet Place alongside her husband John Krasinski (who is also the film’s director), and in Mary Poppins Returns opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Jungle Cruise is set to start production in May 2018.
